Greenland and EU

[edit]

Greenland is not part EU, they left eu in 1985. 86.52.161.47 (talk) 21:55, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nice try. Greenland still belongs to Denmark and Denmark is in EU. 188.113.95.213 (talk) 17:29, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That does not mean anything. It is not in the EU as it left in 1985 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenland_and_the_European_Union Agiotagegeniophobiafarris (talk) 19:25, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It means EVERYTHING as Greenland still BELONGS TO DENMARK and Denmark still belongs to EU! 188.113.95.213 (talk) 18:57, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@188.113.95.213 Please look at any source. You will find that Greenland left the EU and there are many occasions where territories of EU members aren't part of the EU.
Aside from this, there are many things that don't belong to Denmark, these are called the home policies.
Please educate yourself. Agiotagegeniophobiafarris (talk) 19:17, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So why did Trump ask Denmark to buy Greenland, if Greenland doesn't belong to Denmark, who still gives the people on Greenland lots of money to live there? And so does the EU? Hmm..? Educate yourselves, US-brains. 188.113.95.213 (talk) 23:09, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@188.113.95.213 Yes it belongs to denmark, not the EU. EU membership isn't hereditary.

Did you read the third paragraph at Greenland#Political system? It explains it quite well. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 21:04, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Weight of Sheet Ice Affecting Geography

[edit]

The claim that "the weight of the ice sheet has depressed the central land area to form a basin lying more than 300 m (980 ft) below sea level" seems to be spurious and is not supported by the more current source provided. The DK Atlas cited does mention this claim but is contradicted by the article on the Grand_Canyon_(Greenland) page, which mentions that the canyon is believed to predate the ice sheet and is corroborated by more current sources. I believe this sentence should be removed and a section should be added discussing Greenland's Grand Canyon in its place. Struckweather (talk) 15:38, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
